Ingredients
- 36 cookies Oreo cookies
- 2 boxes (3.9 oz each) instant chocolate pudding mix
- 4 cups milk
- 2 cups heavy cream
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- 1
Crush 24 Oreo cookies into coarse crumbs. You can use a food processor or place them in a zip-top bag and crush with a rolling pin.
- 2
In a large bowl, whisk the 2 boxes of pudding mix with 4 cups milk until thickened, about 2 minutes. Set aside.
- 3
In another bowl, beat 2 cups heavy cream with 0.5 cup powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla until stiff peaks form, about 3-4 minutes.
- 4
Fold half of the whipped cream into the pudding mixture until combined.
- 5
In a trifle dish or glass bowl, layer half of the crushed Oreos, then half of the pudding mixture, then half of the remaining whipped cream. Repeat layers.
- 6
Crush the remaining 12 Oreos and sprinkle on top. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to let the layers set.
- 7
Serve chilled, scooping through all layers for the classic trifle look.
