Ingredients

  • 2 lb mussels
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 loaf crusty bread

Instructions

  1. 1

Scrub the 2 lb mussels and pull off any beards. Discard any that are open or cracked.

  2. 2

Heat the 2 tbsp olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the 4 minced garlic cloves and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.

  3. 3

Add the mussels and the 1 cup white wine. Cover and steam until the mussels open, about 5-7 minutes, shaking the pot occasionally.

  4. 4

Stir in the 1/4 cup chopped parsley. Discard any mussels that haven't opened. Serve immediately with the crusty bread for dipping.
