Ingredients

  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 whole egg
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

    Mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt in a microwave-safe mug.

    Crack egg into the mug, add 2 tbsp melted butter and vanilla, stir until smooth.

    Press chocolate chunks into the center of the batter — these will melt into the molten core.

    Drizzle remaining 1 tbsp melted butter over the top.

    Microwave on high for 60–90 seconds until cake rises and edges pull from the mug, center still jiggles slightly.
