Ingredients
- 2 filets (6 oz each) salmon fillets
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp white miso paste
- 2 stalks green onions
Instructions
- 1
Pat the 2 salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper. Heat 1 tbsp of the butter in a skillet over medium-high heat until foaming.
- 2
Place the salmon in the skillet, skin-side down, and cook until the skin is crisp and golden, about 4 minutes. Flip and cook for 2 more minutes, until the fish is just opaque in the center.
- 3
In a small bowl, mix the remaining 1 tbsp butter with the 1 tbsp miso paste until smooth. Add this mixture to the skillet and let it melt, spooning it over the salmon for 1 minute.
- 4
Transfer the salmon to plates and spoon any remaining miso butter from the pan over the top. Slice the 2 green onions thinly and scatter over the salmon before serving.
- 5
Serve hot, with rice or steamed vegetables if desired.
