Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups elbow pasta (dry)
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1.5 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 0 salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

    Combine pasta and 2.5 cups water in a large microwave-safe bowl.

    Microwave uncovered at full power for 8 minutes, stirring halfway through.

    Stir in milk and butter until butter melts, about 30 seconds.

    Add cheese in handfuls, stirring after each addition until fully melted and smooth.

    Season with salt and pepper. Let sit 1 minute so sauce thickens.
