Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 3 oz dark chocolate bars (70% cacao), chopped
  • 2 tbsp piloncillo, grated or crumbled
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 whole cinnamon sticks

Instructions

    Heat milk in a saucepan over medium until steaming, about 5 minutes.

    Add chopped chocolate and piloncillo, stirring until completely melted and smooth.

    Stir in ground cinnamon and vanilla extract.

    Using a molinillo or whisk, beat the mixture vigorously for 30-45 seconds until frothy.
