Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry
- ½ lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 large egg
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper

Preheat oven to 400°F. Thaw puff pastry according to package directions.

Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium. Add 1 sliced onion and 2 minced garlic cloves; cook until soft and golden, about 5 minutes.

Add 0.5 lb ground beef, 0.5 tsp salt, and 0.25 tsp black pepper. Cook, breaking up meat, until browned and no longer pink, about 6 minutes. Let cool slightly.

Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface. Cut into 4 equal squares.

Place a spoonful of beef mixture on one half of each square. Fold over to form a triangle, press edges with a fork to seal.

Beat 1 egg in a small bowl. Brush over the tops of the pastries.

Place pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment. Bake until golden and puffed, about 20 minutes. Let cool 5 minutes before serving.
