Ingredients
- 1 lb frozen french fries
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- ½ cup milk
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Preheat oven to 425°F. Spread the 1 lb frozen fries on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake until golden and crispy, about 20 minutes, shaking halfway.

While fries bake, melt 2 tbsp butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in 2 tbsp flour and cook for 1 minute until bubbly.

Gradually whisk in 1/2 cup milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens and coats the back of a spoon, about 3 minutes.

Remove from heat and stir in 3/4 cup of the shredded cheddar until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Transfer hot fries to a serving plate. Pour the cheese sauce over the top, sprinkle with the remaining 1/4 cup cheddar and 2 tbsp parsley. Serve immediately.
