Ingredients
- ½ cup soy sauce
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 3 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 6 cloves garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, grated
- ½ medium pear, grated
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 lbs beef short ribs, cut thin across the bone
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted
- 3 stalks green onions, chopped
Instructions
- 1
Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, pear, and black pepper in a bowl. Whisk until sugar dissolves.
- 2
Place beef short ribs in a large shallow dish or ziplock bag. Pour marinade over ribs, ensuring all pieces are coated.
- 3
Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or up to 8 hours, turning occasionally for even coating.
- 4
Preheat grill to high heat (450–500°F). Oil the grates to prevent sticking.
- 5
Remove ribs from marinade, reserving the liquid. Pat ribs dry with paper towels.
- 6
Grill ribs 3–4 minutes per side for medium doneness, until caramelized and cooked through. Work in batches to avoid crowding.
- 7
