Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup plain yogurt
- ½ pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- ½ cup shredded cheese
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- 1
In a large bowl, mix 2 cups flour, 1/2 cup yogurt, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1 tbsp olive oil. Add water gradually until a soft dough forms, about 5 minutes.
- 2
Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rest for 30 minutes.
- 3
While dough rests, heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add 1 chopped onion and cook until soft, about 5 minutes.
- 4
Add 1/2 pound ground beef and 1 tsp garam masala. Cook, breaking up meat, until browned and cooked through, about 8 minutes. Season with remaining salt.
- 5
Preheat a cast-iron skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Divide dough into 4 balls.
- 6
Roll one ball into a 6-inch circle. Place 2 tbsp of meat filling and 2 tbsp cheese on one half, fold over, and press edges to seal.
- 7
Cook the stuffed naan on the hot skillet for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden and puffed. Repeat with remaining dough and filling.
- 8
Serve hot, topped with microgreens if desired.
