Ingredients

  • 1 small loaf crusty bread (baguette or ciabatta)
  • 3 oz jamón serrano, thinly sliced
  • 2 oz manchego cheese, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium ripe tomato
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

    Slice the bread into thin rounds, about 1/4 inch thick. Arrange on a plate.

    Slice the tomato into thin rounds. Pat dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.

    Layer one piece of jamón, one slice of manchego, and one slice of tomato onto each bread round.

    Drizzle each montadito lightly with olive oil. Season with sea salt and cracked pepper.
