Ingredients
- 2 cups whole milk
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 4 ounces semisweet chocolate
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ⅛ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup mini marshmallows

In a medium saucepan, whisk together the 2 tbsp cocoa powder, 2 tbsp sugar, and 1/8 tsp salt. Add 1/4 cup of the 2 cups milk and whisk into a smooth paste.

Pour in the remaining 1 3/4 cups milk and 1/2 cup heavy cream. Place over medium heat and whisk occasionally until steaming, about 4 minutes.

Add the 4 oz chopped semisweet chocolate and whisk constantly until fully melted and smooth, about 2 minutes. Do not let it boil.

Remove from heat and stir in the 1 tsp vanilla extract. Taste and add more sugar if you like it sweeter.

Ladle into mugs and top each with a generous handful of the 1/2 cup mini marshmallows. Serve immediately.
