Ingredients

  • 4 pieces chicken thighs, bone-in skin-on
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 4 cups butter lettuce or romaine

Instructions

  1. 1

Pat chicken thighs dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

Heat a 12-inch skillet over medium-high until shimmering. Place chicken skin-side down and sear without moving until skin is golden brown, ~7 minutes.

  3. 3

Flip chicken over. Whisk honey, soy sauce, fish sauce, and minced garlic in a small bowl, then pour over the chicken.

  4. 4

Add butter to the pan and baste chicken with the sauce. Cook for 8 more minutes until glaze is sticky and chicken reaches 165°F at the thickest part.

  5. 5

Arrange lettuce on a plate. Top with chicken and spoon all pan sauce and caramelized bits over the top.
