Ingredients
- 1.5 lb beef sirloin
- 1 red bell pepper
- 1 yellow bell pepper
- 1 onion
- 3 cloves garlic
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
Instructions
- 1
Cut the 1.5 lb beef sirloin into 1-inch cubes. Cut the 1 red bell pepper, 1 yellow bell pepper, and 1 onion into 1-inch pieces. Mince the 3 garlic cloves.
- 2
In a large bowl, combine the beef cubes, minced garlic, 3 tbsp olive oil, 1 tsp salt, and 0.5 tsp black pepper. Toss to coat evenly. Let marinate for 15 minutes at room temperature.
- 3
Thread the marinated beef, bell pepper pieces, and onion pieces onto skewers, alternating meat and vegetables. Leave a small gap between pieces for even cooking.
- 4
Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grates.
- 5
Place the skewers on the grill. Cook for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the meat is browned and charred at the edges and the vegetables are tender, about 10-12 minutes for medium-rare.
- 6
Remove the skewers from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes. Serve hot with lettuce leaves for wrapping.
- 7
Optional: sprinkle with cumin or paprika before serving if you have them.
