Ingredients
- 2 fillets mackerel fillets
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- ¼ cup cilantro

Pat the 2 mackerel fillets dry and season both sides with salt and pepper. Heat a grill pan or skillet over high heat until smoking.

Place the fillets skin-side down and cook until the skin is crisp and golden, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook just 30 seconds more; the center should remain rare.

Transfer the fish to a cutting board and slice thinly against the grain. Arrange the slices on a plate.

Whisk together the 2 tbsp soy sauce and 1 tsp sesame oil, then drizzle over the fish. Sprinkle with the 1 tbsp sesame seeds and 0.25 cup cilantro leaves.
