Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1.25 cups whole milk
  • 3 tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 lb fresh strawberries, hulled & halved
  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream

Instructions

    Whisk together flour, sugar, and baking powder in a large bowl.

    In another bowl, whisk eggs and milk until combined, then stir in melted butter.

    Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined (lumps are fine).

    Preheat waffle iron. Spray with cooking spray, then pour batter and cook until golden, ~3-4 minutes per batch.

    Whip heavy cream with 1 tbsp sugar until stiff peaks form, ~90 seconds with an electric mixer.

    Stack warm waffles on a plate. Top with strawberries, whipped cream, and a pat of butter. Serve immediately.
