Ingredients

  • 4 slices brioche or thick-cut white bread
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼ cup whole milk
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 whole banana, sliced

Instructions

    Spread 1 oz cream cheese on two bread slices, divide strawberries between them, top with remaining bread to make 2 sandwiches.

    Whisk eggs, milk, sugar, and a pinch of salt in a shallow bowl until combined.

    Heat 1 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium-high until it foams, about 90 seconds.

    Dip each sandwich into egg mixture, coating both sides for 2–3 seconds per side, then slide into the skillet.

    Cook 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy; the filling should still be warm but not leaking.
