Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups neutral oil for frying
  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar mixed with ground cinnamon
  • 4 oz dark chocolate, chopped
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • ½ cup dulce de leche

Instructions

    Mix flour and water in a bowl until smooth. Transfer to a pastry bag fitted with a large star tip.

    Heat oil in a deep skillet to 375°F. Working carefully, pipe 4-inch churro lengths into hot oil.

    Fry churros 90 seconds per side until deep golden brown. Transfer to a paper-towel-lined plate.

    Toss warm churros in cinnamon sugar until fully coated on all sides.

    Heat chocolate and milk together in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring until melted and smooth.
