Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground pork
  • ½ medium onion, finely diced
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 6 strips bacon strips
  • 2 buns burger buns

Instructions

  1. 1

Combine ground pork, diced onion, flour, egg, 1 tsp salt, and black pepper in a bowl. Mix gently until just combined—don't overmix.

  2. 2

Form into 4 patties about 3/4-inch thick. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.

  3. 3

Sear patties 4 minutes per side without moving until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer to a plate.

  4. 4

In the same skillet, cook bacon until crispy, about 6 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel.

  5. 5

Lightly toast bun halves in the skillet 1 minute until golden.

  6. 6

Assemble: place patty on each bun bottom, top with bacon strips and bun lid. Serve immediately.
