Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix (or 1 cup crushed chocolate cookies)
  • 4 tbsp butter, melted
  • ¾ cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • ½ cup chopped pecans
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • ¼ cup evaporated milk (or heavy cream)
  • 4 oz milk chocolate, chopped
  • ¼ cup sweetened shredded coconut (for topping)

Instructions

    Mix cake mix, melted butter, 0.75 cup coconut, and pecans in a bowl until crumbly and holds together when squeezed.

    Roll into 1-inch balls and refrigerate on a parchment-lined plate for 5 minutes.

    Heat 3 tbsp butter and evaporated milk in a small saucepan over medium-low until steaming, about 2 minutes.

    Remove from heat, add chopped chocolate, let sit 1 minute, then stir until smooth and glossy.

    Dip each cake ball into chocolate using a fork, tap off excess, and return to the plate.
