Ingredients

  • 1 lb pizza dough
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 2 medium onion
  • 1.5 cups shredded cheese
  • 2 tbsp chives
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat oven to 450°F. Roll out the 1 lb pizza dough on a floured surface into a thin rectangle, about 1/4-inch thick.

  2. 2

Transfer dough to a baking sheet. Brush with 1 tbsp olive oil and sprinkle with 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp black pepper.

  3. 3

Cook 6 slices bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crisp, about 6 minutes. Remove and crumble, reserving 1 tbsp drippings.

  4. 4

In the same skillet, add 2 sliced onions and cook over medium until soft and golden, about 8 minutes.

  5. 5

Spread the onions over the dough, then scatter the crumbled bacon and 1.5 cups shredded cheese evenly on top.

  6. 6

Bake until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly, about 12-15 minutes.

  7. 7

Garnish with 2 tbsp chopped chives, slice, and serve warm.
