Ingredients

  • 2 steaks ribeye or NY strip steaks (1-inch thick)
  • 1 lb fresh asparagus spears
  • 6 strips bacon strips
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 5 cloves garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • ½ lemon fresh lemon

Instructions

  1. 1

Pat steaks dry. Season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

Wrap each asparagus spear with one bacon strip. Toss with oil, salt, and pepper on a sheet pan.

  3. 3

Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high until very hot, ~2 minutes. Sear steaks 90 seconds per side without moving—surface should look dark golden.

  4. 4

Slide steaks onto sheet pan with asparagus. Add butter and minced garlic to the skillet, swirl until fragrant, ~30 seconds.

  5. 5

Drizzle garlic butter over steaks and asparagus. Roast pan in a 400°F oven for 8 minutes—steak should feel medium-rare when pressed.

  6. 6

Remove from oven. Scatter Parmesan over steaks, squeeze lemon juice across the plate, and serve immediately.

Tools you’ll need
