Ingredients
- 4 rolls frozen bread rolls
- 2 tbsp garlic butter
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
- ½ lb ground beef
- ½ cup tomato sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp salt
Instructions
- 1
Preheat oven to 375°F. Place the 4 frozen bread rolls on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes, until slightly puffed but not fully cooked.
- 2
Remove rolls from oven and let cool for 5 minutes. Cut a deep cross into the top of each roll, being careful not to cut through the bottom.
- 3
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the 0.5 lb ground beef with 0.5 tsp salt, breaking it up, until browned and no longer pink, about 6 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- 4
Stir the 0.5 cup tomato sauce and 1 tsp dried oregano into the beef. Simmer for 3 minutes until thickened slightly.
- 5
Spread 2 tbsp garlic butter inside the cuts of each roll. Stuff each roll with 1 cup shredded mozzarella, dividing evenly.
- 6
Spoon the meat mixture over the tops of the rolls, pressing gently. Sprinkle with 1 tbsp sesame seeds.
- 7
Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the rolls are golden brown. Let cool 2 minutes before serving.
