Ingredients

  • 2 pieces pork chops (1 to 1.5 inches thick)
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)

Instructions

  1. 1

Pat pork chops dry, then preheat oven to 400°F.

  2. 2

Heat oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high until shimmering, about 90 seconds.

  3. 3

Sear pork chops 2 minutes per side until golden—don't move them once they hit the pan.

  4. 4

Top each chop with 1.5 tbsp butter and 2 cloves minced garlic, then transfer skillet to the oven.

  5. 5

Bake until the internal temperature hits 145°F at the thickest part, about 8 minutes.

  6. 6

Scatter parsley over the top and serve straight from the skillet while hot.
