Garlic Broccoli Pasta

Ingredients
- 8 oz pasta (spaghetti or penne)
- 4 cups broccoli florets
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ⅓ cup olive oil

Boil salted water in a large pot, then add pasta and cook until al dente, about 9 minutes.

Add broccoli florets to the pasta water in the last 3 minutes of cooking.

While pasta cooks, warm olive oil in a small skillet over medium, add minced garlic, and cook until fragrant, 30 to 45 seconds.

Reserve 1 cup pasta water, then drain pasta and broccoli into a colander.

Return pasta and broccoli to the pot, pour the garlic oil over the top, and toss until coated.

Add pasta water a splash at a time if the dish looks dry, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
