Ingredients
- 1.5 lb bok choy, large heads, halved lengthwise
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp neutral oil
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes

Heat neutral oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it shimmers, about 90 seconds.

Add bok choy cut-side down and sear without moving for 3 minutes until golden brown.

Flip and sear the other side for 2 minutes, then push to the side of the pan.

Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the empty side, stirring for 30 seconds until fragrant.
