Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry
- 2 medium apple
- 3 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 large egg

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Peel and core the 2 apples, then slice thinly. In a bowl, toss with 2 tbsp brown sugar and 1 tbsp melted butter.

Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a floured surface. Transfer to the baking sheet. Pile the apple mixture in the center, leaving a 1-inch border.

Fold the pastry edges over the apples, pleating as needed to form a rough circle. Brush the pastry with beaten egg and sprinkle with remaining 1 tbsp brown sugar.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the pastry is puffed and deep golden brown. Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing.
