Ingredients
- 1 lb pork belly
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- 1
Cut the 1 lb pork belly into 1-inch cubes. Pat dry with paper towels, then season with 1 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp black pepper.
- 2
Heat 2 tbsp vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering, about 2 minutes.
- 3
Add the pork cubes in a single layer, making sure not to crowd the pan. Cook undisturbed for 5-6 minutes until the bottoms are deep golden brown.
- 4
Flip the pieces and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until all sides are crispy and the meat is cooked through, about 8-10 minutes more. The pork should be browned and sizzling.
- 5
Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve hot as a snack or over rice.
