Ingredients
- 4 slices bread
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup milk
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 cup strawberries
- ½ cup whipped cream

In a shallow bowl, whisk the 2 eggs and 1/2 cup milk until smooth. Dip each of the 4 bread slices in the mixture, letting them soak for about 15 seconds per side until saturated but not falling apart.

Melt 1 tbsp of the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add 2 soaked bread slices in a single layer and cook until golden brown on the bottom, about 3 minutes.

Flip the slices and cook the other side until golden and cooked through, about 2 minutes more. Transfer to a plate and repeat with the remaining 1 tbsp butter and 2 bread slices.

Slice the 1 cup strawberries. Top the French toast with the strawberries and 1/2 cup whipped cream, then dust with powdered sugar if you like.
