Ingredients
- 4 slices thick-sliced brioche or challah bread
- 3 large eggs
- ½ cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup strawberries
- ½ cup blueberries
- ½ cup whipped cream

In a shallow dish, whisk the 3 eggs, 1/2 cup milk, and 1 teaspoon vanilla until smooth and frothy.

Heat 1 tablespoon of the butter in a large skillet over medium heat until melted and sizzling.

Dip each of the 4 bread slices into the egg mixture, letting them soak for about 15 seconds per side until saturated but not falling apart.

Place 2 soaked slices in the skillet and cook until golden brown on the bottom, about 3 minutes. Flip and cook the other side until golden, another 2-3 minutes.

Transfer to plates and repeat with the remaining 1 tablespoon butter and 2 bread slices.
