Ingredients

  • 4 whole croissants, day-old or fresh
  • 6 oz ham, thinly sliced
  • 4 oz Gruyère cheese, sliced
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper to taste

    Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Slice each croissant horizontally without cutting all the way through, leaving a hinge.

    Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard inside each croissant.

    Layer ham and Gruyère inside each croissant, dividing evenly. Season with salt and pepper.

    Place filled croissants on the baking sheet. Brush the exterior with melted butter.

    Bake for 10–12 minutes until the exterior is golden brown and cheese melts inside.
