Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 3 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 set food coloring (gel, assorted colors)
  • 4 layers vanilla cake layers, store-bought (4 layers)
  • ¼ cup sprinkles (rainbow)
  • ½ cup fresh berries (optional garnish)

Instructions

    Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form, about 2 minutes.

    Divide whipped cream into 4 bowls. Add 2-3 drops of gel food coloring to each bowl, one color per bowl. Stir to combine.

    Place first cake layer on a cake stand or plate. Spread a thin layer of red whipped cream on top.

    Stack second layer on top. Spread with orange whipped cream. Repeat with third layer and yellow cream, fourth layer and purple cream.

    Frost the sides and top with remaining white whipped cream, creating a smooth finish.

    Press rainbow sprinkles around the edges. Slice vertically to reveal the colored layers and serve immediately.
