Ingredients
- 8 oz smoked fish fillets
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 lemon
- 2 tbsp fresh dill
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
Instructions
- 1
Flake the 8 oz smoked fish into a food processor, removing any bones or skin. Add the 4 oz cream cheese and 2 tbsp butter.
- 2
Zest the lemon and squeeze 1 tbsp of juice. Add the zest and juice to the processor along with the 2 tbsp dill, 0.25 tsp salt, and 0.25 tsp pepper.
- 3
Pulse the mixture until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides once or twice, about 1 minute total.
- 4
Taste and adjust seasoning with more lemon juice or salt if needed. If the pâté is too thick, add 1 tsp of water and pulse again.
- 5
Transfer the pâté to a serving bowl, cover, and chill for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld. Serve with crackers or toast.
- 6
Garnish with extra dill and lemon slices if desired.
