Ingredients

  • 4 slices dark rye bread (ruisleipä or pumpernickel)
  • 8 slices salami
  • 4 slices sliced cheese (cheddar or gouda)
  • 1 whole cucumber
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

    Toast rye bread slices until edges are dark and crispy, about 3–4 minutes.

    Slice cucumber into thin rounds. Spread butter generously over each warm toast.

    Layer 2 salami slices and 1 cheese slice on each toast, then top with cucumber rounds.
