Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 tsp berbere spice
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. 1

Season the 1 lb beef sirloin with 1 tsp salt and 2 tsp berbere spice, tossing to coat evenly.

  2. 2

Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over high heat. Add the beef in a single layer and sear until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove to a plate.

  3. 3

In the same skillet, add the 1 sliced onion and 1 sliced red bell pepper and 1 sliced yellow bell pepper. Cook over medium-high, stirring, until softened and charred at edges, about 5-6 minutes.

  4. 4

Return the beef to the skillet with any juices. Toss everything together and cook for 1-2 minutes until heated through. Serve hot, garnished with cilantro if desired.
