Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb ground pork
  • ½ cup sweet pickle relish
  • ¾ cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • ½ medium onion, diced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp neutral cooking oil

Instructions

    Heat oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high until shimmering, about 90 seconds.

    Add onion and garlic, stir for 1 minute until fragrant.

    Add ground pork, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks until no pink remains, 6–8 minutes.

    Stir in pickle relish and soy sauce, then simmer for 2 minutes.

    Remove from heat and fold in cheddar cheese until melted.

    Serve hot with rice or bread.
