Ingredients

  • 1 slice bread
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ tsp salt

Instructions

    Melt butter in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, ~60 seconds.

    Lay the bread slice in the butter and toast 90 seconds until golden on one side.

    Flip the bread, then use a biscuit cutter or drinking glass to cut a 2-inch hole in the center.

    Crack the egg into the hole, sprinkle salt on the yolk, and cook 2–3 minutes until whites set but yolk jiggles.

    Slide onto a plate and serve hot.
