Ingredients

  • 1 whole croissant, fresh
  • 2 whole large eggs
  • ½ ounce cheddar cheese, sliced or shredded
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 to taste salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. 1

Crack eggs into a bowl. Whisk with a fork until well combined.

  2. 2

Slice the croissant horizontally. Melt 0.5 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium-high.

  3. 3

Place croissant halves cut-side down in the skillet. Toast until golden and crispy, about 90 seconds.

  4. 4

Transfer croissant halves to a plate. Add remaining 0.5 tbsp butter to the skillet.

  5. 5

Pour in eggs. Let sit for 15 seconds, then gently push scrambled curds to the edge.

  6. 6

Continue stirring until the eggs are soft and barely set, 90 seconds total. Season with salt and pepper.

  7. 7

Top the bottom croissant half with scrambled eggs. Sprinkle cheese over warm eggs.

  8. 8

Cover with the top croissant half. Serve immediately while the cheese melts.
