Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry sheet
  • 1 cup dates, pitted and chopped
  • 1 apple, thinly sliced
  • 1 pear, thinly sliced
  • 1 plum, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp pine nuts

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat oven to 400°F. Roll out the 1 puff pastry sheet onto a baking sheet and prick all over with a fork.

  2. 2

Scatter the 1 cup chopped dates over the pastry, leaving a 1-inch border. Arrange the sliced apple, pear, and plum over the dates.

  3. 3

Sprinkle the 2 tbsp pine nuts over the fruit. Fold the pastry edges over the filling to create a rustic crust.

  4. 4

Bake for 18-20 minutes, until the pastry is golden and puffed and the fruit is tender. Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing.

  5. 5

Serve warm or at room temperature. Add a drizzle of honey or a sprinkle of cinnamon if you like.
