Ingredients
- 450 g frozen french fries
- 4 bratwurst or other thick sausage
- 120 ml ketchup
- 2 tbsp curry powder
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp honey
- 2 tbsp water
Instructions
- 1
Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F). Spread the 450g frozen fries on a baking sheet and bake until golden and crispy, about 25-30 minutes, shaking halfway.
- 2
While fries bake, heat a large skillet over medium-high. Add the 4 sausages and cook, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through, about 10-12 minutes.
- 3
In a small bowl, whisk together the 120ml ketchup, 2 tbsp curry powder, 1 tbsp vinegar, 1 tsp honey, and 2 tbsp water until smooth.
- 4
Transfer the cooked sausages to a cutting board and slice into 1cm thick rounds. Return the slices to the skillet and pour the sauce over them.
- 5
Stir the sausages and sauce over medium heat until the sauce is bubbling and coats the sausage, about 2-3 minutes.
- 6
Serve the currywurst hot with the fries on the side. Sprinkle extra curry powder on top if you like.
- 7
Enjoy immediately while hot and crispy.
