Ingredients
- 4 pieces bratwurst or pork sausages
- 1 tbsp neutral oil
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- ½ medium onion, finely diced
- 2 tbsp curry powder
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 4 tbsp ketchup
- ½ cup beef or vegetable broth
- 2 tbsp apple juice or cider
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 pinch salt and black pepper
- 2 servings crispy fries or bread rolls
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sausages and cook for 8–10 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through. Transfer to a cutting board and slice diagonally into bite-sized pieces.

In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add diced onion and sauté for 2–3 minutes until softened.

Stir in curry powder and tomato paste, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.

Add ketchup, broth, apple juice, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir well to combine.

Simmer for 3–4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sauce thickens slightly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
