Ingredients

  • ½ lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz wheat noodles
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 stalks green onions, sliced
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro leaves
  • ½ tsp chili flakes

Instructions

  1. 1

Cook the 8 oz wheat noodles in boiling water until al dente, about 6-8 minutes. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

In a bowl, toss the 0.5 lb beef slices with 2 tbsp soy sauce and 1 tsp ground cumin. Let marinate for 5 minutes.

  3. 3

Heat 2 tbsp vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat until shimmering.

  4. 4

Add the beef in a single layer and sear until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from the pan.

  5. 5

Reduce heat to medium, add the remaining 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp ground cumin, and 0.5 tsp chili flakes. Stir for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  6. 6

Return the beef to the pan, add the cooked noodles, and toss everything together for 2 minutes until well coated and heated through.

  7. 7

Serve topped with 3 sliced green onions and 0.25 cup cilantro leaves.
