Ingredients
- 8 sheets phyllo dough sheets
- 1 cup walnuts, finely chopped
- 4 tbsp butter, melted
- ½ cup honey
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 whole lemon (zested + 1 tbsp juice)

Heat honey, water, cinnamon, and lemon juice in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring gently, until warm and fragrant, ~2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in lemon zest.

Lay one phyllo sheet on a cutting board. Brush lightly with melted butter, then sprinkle 2 tbsp chopped walnuts over the top.

Top with a second phyllo sheet, brush again, and add 2 more tbsp walnuts. Repeat until all phyllo and walnuts are layered.

Cut the stacked phyllo into 12 squares or diamonds. Heat remaining butter in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat.
