Ingredients

  • 12 count large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 oz dried ramen or chow mein noodles
  • ½ cup sweet chili sauce
  • 3 cups neutral cooking oil for frying
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. 1

Break uncooked noodles into small pieces about 2 inches long.

  2. 2

Pat shrimp dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.

  3. 3

Press noodle pieces firmly onto each shrimp so they stick and form a coating on all sides.

  4. 4

Heat oil in a deep skillet or wok over medium-high heat until it shimmers, about 2 minutes.

  5. 5

Carefully slide shrimp into the oil and fry 90 seconds per side until noodles are golden and crispy.

  6. 6

Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels. Serve hot with sweet chili sauce for dipping.
