Ingredients

  • 6 oz ground pork
  • 2 whole soft dinner rolls or bao buns
  • 2 tbsp scallions, chopped
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ tsp black pepper, freshly cracked
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. 1

Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high until it shimmers, about 60 seconds.

  2. 2

Add ground pork, breaking it up with a spoon as it browns, until no pink remains, ~4 minutes.

  3. 3

Stir in soy sauce, scallions, and black pepper. Cook until fragrant, 30 seconds.

  4. 4

Slice rolls in half and toast cut-side down in the same skillet until edges char, ~90 seconds per side.

Fill each roll with pork mixture, sprinkle sesame seeds on top, and serve immediately.
