Ingredients

  • 4 buns store-bought steamed bao buns
  • 150 g crispy pork belly, store-bought or leftover
  • ½ cup pickled daikon and carrot, store-bought
  • 3 tbsp roasted peanuts, crushed
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce or sweet soy sauce

Instructions

    Warm the bao buns in a bamboo steamer or microwave for 2 minutes, wrapped in foil.

    Warm the pork belly in a dry skillet over medium heat for 1 minute until edges crisp.

    Gently open each warm bun and spread 0.5 tbsp hoisin inside.

    Layer warm pork, pickled daikon, crushed peanuts, and cilantro into each bun.

    Serve immediately while buns are still warm.
