Ingredients

  • 1 sheet (thawed) frozen puff pastry sheet
  • 12 oz mushrooms, mixed (cremini, oyster)
  • ½ cup walnuts
  • ¼ cup chestnuts, halved
  • 1 small shallot, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme

Instructions

    Preheat oven to 400°F. Spread puff pastry on a sheet pan.

    Slice mushrooms 1/4-inch thick. Remove any woody stems.

    Heat 2 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium-high until foaming.

    Add mushrooms and shallot. Cook, stirring often, until liquid evaporates and edges brown, ~6 minutes.

    Stir in walnuts, chestnuts, and thyme. Season with salt and pepper. Spread evenly over pastry.
