Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup warm water
  • 4 tbsp butter, divided
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions

    Mix flour, salt, and 1 tbsp butter with warm water until a soft dough forms, ~2 minutes.

    Divide dough into 2 balls. Stretch each into a thin 8-inch square on a work surface.

    Brush one square with melted butter, fold in half, brush again, fold in half again to form a small square.

    Repeat with the second square. Let both rest 2 minutes while you heat a skillet.

    Heat 1 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium-high until it foams, ~90 seconds.

    Pan-fry each msemen square 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy, working in batches.
