Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 tbsp butter, softened
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 medium cucumber, sliced
  • ½ cup black olives
  • ½ cup total tapenade and pickled peppers

Instructions

  1. 1

Mix flour with 0.5 tsp salt and 0.5 cup water to form a soft dough. Knead for 2 minutes until smooth.

Divide dough in half. Roll each piece into a thin rectangle, spread 1 tbsp softened butter over it, then fold and roll again into a rough square.

  3. 3

Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Pan-fry each msemen 3–4 minutes per side until golden and crispy.

  4. 4

Arrange sliced tomatoes, cucumber, olives, tapenade, and pickled peppers on a plate alongside the warm msemen.

  5. 5

Warm honey in a small bowl (30 seconds in microwave or over low heat) and drizzle over the msemen.

  6. 6

Serve immediately while msemen is still warm and crispy.
