Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 tbsp butter, melted
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 medium cucumbers, sliced
  • 2 medium tomatoes, sliced
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro or parsley, chopped

Instructions

    Mix flour with 0.5 cup water and a pinch of salt until a soft dough forms, then knead for 2 minutes until smooth.

    Divide dough into 2 balls. On an oiled surface, stretch one ball thin with your hands, then fold into a square.

    Heat 2 tbsp butter in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high until it shimmers, about 90 seconds.

    Pan-fry msemen 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy. Repeat with remaining dough and butter.

    While msemen cooks, toss cucumber and tomato slices with salt, pepper, and fresh herbs in a bowl.
